22 Jul Sufi Music at La Chamade Nursing Home
Zendeh Delan Brings the Spirit of Sufi Music to La Chamade Nursing Home
22 July 2024
On Monday, July 22nd, Zendeh Delan had the pleasure of performing at La Chamade Nursing Home in Nanterre, France. This special event brought the soulful and uplifting sounds of Sufi music to the residents, creating a serene and joyful atmosphere.
The ensemble, featuring talented musicians on the tar, guitar, and harp, performed a variety of pieces that resonated deeply with the audience. The event was not just a musical performance but a heartfelt connection between the musicians and the residents, many of whom actively engaged with the music, swaying, clapping, and singing along.
The warm and inviting setting of La Chamade provided the perfect backdrop for this intimate concert. The residents, seated comfortably in the communal area, were treated to a blend of traditional Sufi melodies and contemporary arrangements. The ensemble’s performance highlighted the beauty of Sufi music, which transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, touching the hearts of all who listen.
After the performance, the musicians took time to interact with the residents, sharing stories and answering questions about their instruments and the origins of their music. This personal touch added an extra layer of warmth to the event, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Zendeh Delan is dedicated to spreading the message of love, peace, and unity through their music. Performing at La Chamade was a testament to this mission, as the ensemble brought smiles and moments of tranquillity to the residents. It was an honour to share our music with such a wonderful community, and we look forward to more opportunities to connect with audiences through the universal language of music.
Thank you to La Chamade Nursing Home for hosting us, and to the residents for their warm reception and enthusiasm. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our music and look forward to many more such enriching experiences.
